Deck vs Patio
We want to do something in our backyard to give us some extra living space. We are thinking of either doing a wood deck or a brick paver patio.
We dont have a step up into the house so we dont need stairs and wood has a lot of maintainace issues that we dont want to have to deal with. The brick might look nice if we could find a color that matched the brick on the facade of the house. But as with everything else our main concern is cost. Does anyone know what is cheaper to install?

I think you may have problem finding enough of those to give you a big enough area. Who wants to give theirs up? It seems like that would be very expensive. I would choose brick or wood.
How about some good dog pics on this site.
As far as patio, it depends on how long you intend to stay. Brick is more $ initially , but last forever and zero maintenance. Wood deck is cheaper initially, but has to be cleaned and sealed every couple years.
