A while ago, Drake's grandma gave us an old bike from 1977.  It sat in our garage collecting dust for a long time.  When we moved, we decided to fix it up so we could use it.  I wanted a bike to ride around the neighborhood with Dempsey.  Drake found a place called True Wheels Indy that would replace the cables, chain and overhaul the bike.  Before taking it in, Drake cleaned up the bike as much as he could.  There was a lot of rust from sitting around for so long.  I forgot to take a picture of the bike before we fixed it so Drake found one that is similar online.

This is a picture of the bike before (this one looks a lot better than ours did in the beginning)
Here is the bike after we fixed it.  Drake spay painted the body black, cleaned off the rust, bought cork grips for the handlebars, painted little white stripes on the fenders and attached a little pouch on the back to hold a bike lock.
Here is a close up of the cork grips. Drake applied shellac to the grips to darken and protect them.

Here is a close up of the fender.  He added a little white to both.

Drake also bought another bike so we both could take Dempsey around the neighborhood together.  It should get here sometime this week!
